MINIMIZING ROTATION IMPACT FORCES AND ENERGY TO THE BRAIN
In the event of a crash, a helmet will deform to prevent blunt force injuries. Another injury type is caused by the helmet forcing the head to rotate on impact. SLID™ allows a small amount of rotation minimizing the transfer of this energy to the brain.
SLID™ is the apex of safety technology in cycling helmets, an innovative feature created by HJC that incorporates a special GEL material inside the helmet liner.
This technology has been designed to reduce the amount of energy delivered to the brain in the event of an impact, providing a rotating function that minimizes the rotational impact energy on the brain.
The advanced GEL material inside the SLID™ will ‘flow’ into a different position dispersing forces, ensuring maximum safety and protection for riders.
